South West Regional Clay Target Competition

King's College students participated in the South West regional Clay Target Competition. We travelled to Noorat, where as a team and individually, the students had the opportunity to move on to the state final in Echuca.

As has been the case for our training sessions on Wednesday afternoons, we spent some time with the crew from Emmanuel College. The weather proved to be a challenge to the students during the course of the day with wind, rain and sunshine causing the clays to fly in different ways.

It was impressive to watch our students handle themselves with poise and respect, having to calm their nerves as they viewed about three hundred other students competing for the same prizes.

Despite most of our students improving between the first and second rounds, they were unable to secure a place for the state finals. I was very proud of how they represented the school community.
