The Library Club is a club that helps cleans the library to benefit the library experience of the school and also makes reading-related activities. They make posters for reading, book week, and dress up day so they can inform people about upcoming events about reading and books. We interviewed a couple of members and this is what they had to say:

What is the main reason that this group is a part of the young leaders program?

The main reason that the Library club is a part of the young leaders program is because we need to demonstrate responsibility and respect for this key part of our school. We are able to demonstrate how students should treat books and the school library as a whole.

What do you do each week on Tuesday afternoon?

We usually sort out books so the younger year levels can have easy access to them and not have to dig them up in an unorganised manner. We also label the books so the younger year levels can understand better.

Why do you think this group is important for students at Albanvale Primary School?

It’s really important that all the students at Albanvale Primary have a clean library to read in and a good library experience overall. We all should take pride in our library because we have some amazing books available to us.

What is your favourite part of being in this group?
We really like organising books and making posters for the school to advertise the library and what is going on there. Come check out the library and read some books!

This is an amazing part of the Young Leader Program and everyone in this group were all so excited to be a part of it. This a really good opportunity to make our school a better place to be. As you are spending time in the library, make sure that you have a look and see the amazing work that the Library Club is doing.
