In the art club students can have a nice relaxing and amazing time drawing and colouring with their friends from different classes. In this space, students are able to be creative and this can help their mental health. A lot of people like to use paints and other art supplies and this is a great place to spend your lunch with your friends, and an opportunity to improve your art skills .

To find out more about what the Art club is all about and why everyone should have a go at it we caught up with the teacher that runs it and asked them some questions.

Teacher Interviewed: Ms. Reid
Why is the ART Club so important for the students at Albanvale Primary School?

Art is a really important outlet for students, it provides a quiet and peaceful place for them to be creative. It is always a fun and enjoyable experience to be a part of.

What sort of things do you do in the ART Club?

We do a variety of activities like free drawing, collage and catching up on artwork. They have done some sewing, oil pastels and construction. It is all about what the students like to do. We ask them and if we can do it in the ART club, we will.

What kind of people do you think would really enjoy what you do in the ART club?
The ART club is a great experience for all students, but in particular any student that likes to be creative. You also get to hang out with your friends so anyone who enjoys being with their friends in a quieter space can come to the art club.

When can the students come and try out this amazing club?
Art club is open every Tuesday at lunchtime with Miss Ricci and Miss Reid!

The ART Club is something that helps you to improve your skills and it is a lot of fun. I know that we are going to come and create some awesome things with the people that are part of the club.
