Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

Congratulations to all of the students, parents, and staff who dressed up so fabulously to celebrate Book Week. The parade was a proud showcase of the innovation and creativity in our community with characters including the Cat in the Hat, Sherlock Holmes, and plenty of Wally's. Our High 5 Book Faire has been a raging success with almost $10,000 of literature snapped up by our students all paid for by amassing awards for demonstrating positive behavior at school. Students will have a final opportunity to redeem their High 5 Cards for a book tomorrow.  I'd like to thank our Staff and Young Leaders who have organised this initiative to support our school's priority to improve student outcomes in reading.

Parent Opinion Survey

80 parents have been randomly selected to participate in the annual parent opinion survey. Hard Copy Notes have been sent home and emails sent to those with their details on file. I'd like to thank the participating parents for their time in helping our school to continuously improve.

Compass

More and more our school has continued to leverage the Compass app to support the way parents and families interact with our school. Currently, parents are able to view student reports, book parent-teacher interviews, log student absences and provide consent or pay for student excursions. As we look to continue expanding our offerings in the future we are highly encouraging all families to download the Compass School App on their phone or smart device and ensure your contact details including your email is accurate and up to date. If you require support or would like some more information, please contact our office.

SCHOOL TOUR NEXT WEEK 

We will be hosting families of students who are interested in joining APS in 2023 for a tour of our school next Thursday, the 1st of September at 9:15 am. We have limited places still available to students in all year levels in 2023. Please pass on the details to any families who you know would positively contribute to our dynamic community.

Prep Enrolment 2023

This week we have begun contacting families to confirm enrolments for Prep students in 2023. There are still limited spots available for those interested in joining us next year. We encourage all interested families to get in contact with us about enrolment as soon as possible to confirm their place.
