From the Head of Sport

Last weekend we had a number of our Basketball teams travelling to St Joseph’s College for a round of pre-season games. It was a good day for all, and while the games were tough it was good to get the boys out on the court to understand what they need to work on for the coming season. Our thanks to Mr Quilter for arranging the games.
All summer teams have now been selected. Congratulations to all students who made teams. You should have been to the Uniform Shop to order your gear. A reminder that, with a change of uniform for Basketball, all players need to be fitted for new uniforms.
Those students playing tennis commence training this week and will be required to wear appropriate tennis gear for training. The BMGS uniform for tennis will be available from the start of Term 4.
Any student who has not been selected in a BMGS team and is interested in playing cricket, please come and see me in my office.
Congratulations
Athletics
On Tuesday, 13th September, BMGS sent a team to the ISA Athletics Championships. Overall we had a very successful day with the Senior Boys taking home the Championship shield.
There were also a lot of personal achievements by our athletes with BMGS having the greatest number of students we have ever had qualifying to compete at the NSWCIS Championships on 20th September.
Congratulations to the following students:
Harry Daniels Keeden Harrison William Zakis
Montagu Darwin Henry Horwood Luke Gibson
Amelie Hugo Jessica Harris Max Lucas
Olivia Harris Leila Naumann Rose Nicholas
Zara Nicholas Katerina Reynolds Charles Taubman
We wish all of these athletes the very best at the NSWCIS Championships.
Tennis
