Year 7 News

Vermont Secondary College

Year 7 teachers this week have been busy correcting work and writing reports.

We encourage students to abide by set due dates. On that note, we still have diaries available on request for those who may need one.

Olin and Stella (both from 7M1) have made it through to the STATE FINALS of the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee. This is an amazing achievement because they are competing against students from all over Australia!

Year 7 students enjoyed the fun and festivities for the “Wear it Purple Day’ thus promoting a message of inclusivity and diversity amongst our school community.

Vermont Secondary College is proactive on promoting safe and responsible use of information and communication technology

Cybersafety is about keeping information safe and secure, but also about being responsible with that information, being respectful of other people online, and using good 'netiquette' (internet etiquette). Please also refer to the Library section of this newsletter for more information about TikTok safety.

We encourage our Year 7 students to call out people not abiding by our College ethos. We also ask that families are proactive in monitoring their child’s social media platforms. Collectively, we are all in this together.
