Physical Education and Sports Update

Running Club

Running club began last week and it was great to see so many students jogging some laps before school. A huge thank you to the parents/grandparents who stepped in to help me with the marking of Running Club cards. It was very busy to say the least!

Just a reminder that Running Club is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:35am - 8:50am. 

School Swimming Sports

The Our Lady of Fatima Swimming Sports will be going ahead as planned on Monday the 22nd of February at the Crib Point Outdoor Pool, 31 Governors Road, Crib Point.  

Permission slips will go home today to those who have returned their ‘Expression of Interest’ notes. Could you please return them tomorrow, Friday the 19th of February. 

The Swimming Carnival also allows me to compare swimming times from the day with District Event times and choose a Swimming Team to represent the school at the Phillip District Swimming Carnival next Friday the 26th at the same pool. 

Students will leave school as close to 9am on Monday as possible, so please don’t be late. They will travel by bus with teachers to the Crib Point Outdoor Pool and we will start the races as quickly as we can. 

Ribbons will be handed out to the first three place getters and all students who complete race/s will earn points for their House Team. These will be collated and a Winning House team will be announced. 

Just a reminder that attending students can nominate to swim in any or all of these strokes in their applicable age group. 

I hope to have all of the races completed by 12pm so that students can return on the bus to school for the rest of the day. 

No early departure/sign outs from the pool please..

Parents are welcome to attend and support their children. Could you please wear your masks and follow social distancing protocols. 

If you have offered to assist on the day, could you please ensure that;

i) the school has an up to date copy of your Working With Children Check and 

ii) that you have signed the Our Lady of Fatima Code of Conduct.
