community events team

2020 reminded us all how unique, distinct, and special the BNWPS community is.

Despite the remoteness and in large part due to the commitment and inspiration from within the Community Events Team and from the BNWPS teachers and staff, events were held or reimagined and a connection maintained. Such a mix of things has happened this year – a beautiful Wominjeka Picnic, the final Plant & Product market for the Year 6 families, community business & connection directories, masks were made for staff, Virtual Trivia nights, Winter Magic Market reminiscing via the BNWPS radio & Kudoboard, the IsOlympics, Spring Steps and Appreciation Week.

A huge thank you to everyone on the CET team who has shown such amazing creativity and care and continued to contribute in what was a most unusual year: Matt Adey, Amy Brennan, Carmen Brown, Elena Cazacu, Sam Cohen, Nella Combe, Tamsin Downes, Tas Game, Calandra Gilligan, Sam Gravster, Vanessa Hughes, Tanya Pittard, Linda Reiling, Stacey Roberts, Naomi Wake

A special Thank You to Sam Cohen for his support – his guidance and assistance has been really appreciated. We would like to acknowledge the enormous efforts of the BNWPS Teachers and Staff who inspired us, even when we were feeling low to push on and focus on the value of connection and the huge positive impact this has on the wellbeing of our children and ourselves.

Finally, THANK YOU BNWPS Community for contributing to and participating in these events!

These funds have been used to upgrade the drinking bubblers and hand washing troughs and for hand sanitisation stations outside each of the classrooms. A great investment for the health and wellbeing of everyone on site.

If you would like to be part of the CET in 2020 please be in touch CET@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au

2020 will hopefully allow us to come together again as a community to reconnect and connect.
