Principal's Message 

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are approaching the end of the Church’s year as this Sunday marks the Church’s season of Advent.  Advent ushers in a challenging period, where we are asked to take time for quiet prayer and reflection in the midst of one of the most hectic times in the school year. But when we make it a priority to find that quiet space, we find the rich fruits of opening ourselves to God and to life and love.

We re-orient ourselves to what is true and deep in the human condition. We are reminded that God loves us and keeps his promise to be with us in the coming of Jesus. We are reminded that the greatest commandment is love. This Advent season, may we all be more open to the possibilities of God working in us to bring hope and love to the world.

Confirmation 

Due to the changes in COVID restrictions last weekend we have changed our arrangements for the celebration of Confirmation to allow parents and sponsors to attend. Next week three Confirmation celebrations will take place;

Wednesday 2nd December at 5:30pm

Thursday 3rd December at 5:30pm, and

Thursday 3rd December at 7:30pm

Graduation

Plans are in place for a lovely evening for the students to celebrate and be acknowledged as a class. This event will be livestreamed to family and friends. Families were sent the private access code via the Operoo notification on 12th November.

Anna Perri, along with a few other parents, have offered to help with the decorating of the hall on the day of the Graduation. If you would like to assist we would ask that you contact Anna directly on 0409 702 708.

Going Up Day

On Monday 14th December the children will meet and spend time with their 2021 class and teacher.

A full staff list for 2021 will be communicated in our final newsletter in a fortnight.

School Sports

Unfortunately we were unable to hold our annual school sports day due to COVID restrictions. Ms Tobin, our PE teacher, has kindly offered to run a variation of our school sports on Friday 4th December during school hours. 

Children will be asked to wear their sports uniform on this day along with their coloured sports polo top.

Due to government restrictions parents are unable to be onsite for this event.

Start of the 2021 School Year

The 2021 school year will commence as follows;

Wednesday  27th Jan - Staff Commence

Thursday 28th Jan -       Preps 9:00-1:00pm

                                             Year 1 - 6 assessments

Friday 29th Jan                Prep 9:00 - 1:00pm

                                             Year 1 - 6 assessments

Monday 1st Feb              All children commence

Bookings for 2021 assessments days will be sent out in the coming weeks.
