                     Advent Begins the Church Year

I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord.

This Sunday marks the second week of our Catholic Church's Liturgical Year. It began with last week with the first week of Advent this Sunday.

“Advent is a time of waiting, it is a time of joy because the coming of Christ is not only a gift of grace and salvation but it is also a time of commitment because it motivates us to live the present as a time of responsibility and vigilance.

Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to hear your voice.

Give me the courage to be your beloved.

Give me courage to choose joy.

I need you now this Christmas.

Be born in me again. Today.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Sacramental Program Dates 2021

We have begun the process of choosing dates with all schools in the Parish around each of our three Sacraments.

Whilst I might be able to confirm them by the end of the year, we have aimed to have Year Threes receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation around March in Term One, as it was to be this year, with the Sacrament of Eucharist around May in Term Two, again similar to what was planned this year.  The date for Confirmation will be allocated by the Bishop but for us it has always fallen somewhere late Term Three.
