Firstly we had some fantastic results at Cross Country last week. A big congratulations to all the competitors from Miners Rest and a thank you to all the parents for covering the transportation responsibilities.

Naplan has also been completed for another year. Well done to the students and teachers who undertook this snapshot into the assessment of our year three’s and five’s. From all reports it was a very positive experience.

Over the next week or two we have some exciting events happening at our school.

• School photos are next Wednesday, so remember to look your best and keep smiling
• Foundation – Year 2 Gymnastics program starts next Tuesday and Wednesday and continues for five weeks. This is such an important program in regards to the students’ motor skill and coordination development from very experienced instructors.
• Year 4 Wyuna Camp is just around the corner. So any payments will need to be finalised prior to next Thursday. Wyuna is a beach camp and students’ will have the opportunity to cook their own wood fired ovens pizzas, go for a bike ride around Queenscliff, visit the Marine Biology Discovery Centre and take some guided marine tours on the special educational boats.
• Dale and Kylie will be returning back over the next two weeks, so make sure you pop in and see them and ask them all about their study tour. And that means that I can slip quietly back into my role as P.E teacher (as I am really missing the kids!!).
