Kilbreda Athletics Carnival

Kilbreda’s Athletics Carnival took place on 30 April and thankfully Melbourne provided us with sunshine that we had been missing.

The whole school’s creativity and enthusiasm in costumes never fails to entertain teachers. The Year 7s got another taste of the heightened school spirit and it was amazing to see teachers get involved in events as well.

Participation from all year levels was phenomenal, even seeing girls on the sideline of the race track cheering their friends on reinforced the school’s sense of community. Highlights included the Students vs Teacher relay race, resulting in an unfortunate loss for the student team, the sausage sizzle and the novelty activities that all year levels took advantage of to have some fun!

It was another momentous day for the girls in Delany house; congratulations on another win! The amount of effort and time that went into the preparation and the successful execution of the day is greatly appreciated to all staff, students, teachers and special guests that were involved.

We hope to see more girls get involved throughout the year's various house activities and embrace what it means to be a Kilbreda girl!

Congratulations to Audrey Moutier on winning the fastest 100 race!

A special thanks to the Badminton coaches: Amanda Flynn, Damian Smith and Maree Clark.

Kilbreda was the host school for this event and all ran extremely smoothly. A great job by Jo Wood, Kim Aidone and Monique Seedsman.

SESG Results

Week 1

Intermediate Badminton and Futsal (1-12) and the Basketball B team (2-19) lost against SHGC Oakleigh.

The Basketball A team won 24-20.

This week the Intermediate teams and the Junior teams  play OLSH (Bentleigh).

Good luck to all teams.

SCSA Athletics

Good luck to the Athletics Team competing at Albert Park Stadium this Friday 17 May.

Upcoming Trials

While we may only be in Week 4 of Term 2, the end of this term is very hectic and with VNA netball and SCSA AFL and Volleyball in the first three weeks of Term 3, trials will be starting soon (particularly for the junior netball).

Girls who are interested in participating in any of these teams need to make sure they read the bulletin on SIMON every day so they don’t miss out.
