Performing Arts

The students have continued to show resilience and perseverance during remote learning. All year levels were given the opportunity to make paper puppets and their creativity really shone through in this activity. This week the students from year 3 to 6 worked hard at completing a retell of the Dreamtime story of the Rainbow Serpent. Stop motion videos, puppet shows and written scripts were just some of the ways the students completed the task. It was great to see their imaginations run wild.

The St James choir will be having an online session next week...something exciting will be coming soon and stay tuned for the extra details.

Shrek the Musical Jr

The students are showing great progress learning the lyrics, choreography and script to Shrek the Musical Jr. The 2nd class songs are well underway so keep a look out for next week's Performing Arts class where the choreography videos will become available.

Thank you for the continuous support from the multiple parents who have volunteered to make and source costumes for our production in December. I would be lost without them!

If you are still willing to help out and I haven’t been in contact with you, feel free to email me and I will be happy to discuss what still needs to be done.
