Proverbs 17:17

‘A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity’.

As this passage suggests, now is a time to care for each other and become brothers in adversity. We ask all students, teachers, parents and community members to show compassion, empathy, love and respect for each other during these difficult times.

But how can you do this, whilst being socially distanced and isolated? Have you tried?

  • Complimenting or someone you don’t normally talk to
  • Giving someone in your house ‘bubble’ a hug
  • Thanking your teacher for your lesson
  • Making someone laugh or smile to cheer up their day
  • Thinking of and verbalising at least one positive thought per hour
  • Completing a random act of kindness
  • Checking in on someone
  • Communicating with someone you haven’t spoken to in a while

So far we have been very pleased with the engagement of our students and staff through

Zoom Year Meetings, Homerooms and Classes. Teachers too have been collaborating together to create the best possible learning environment for students. While we don’t know how long we will be learning online for,  our College is extremely confident of our policies and processes in this area. As we embark on another week of home learning it is important that we focus on our wellbeing and the wellbeing of those around us. Referring to the below graphic may offer some suggestions on how we can try to keep some normality into our days.
