Book Week Celebrations
It's been wonderful to see the children participating in our Book Week celebrations! We hope you had a great day! Thank you to the parents who sent in photos.
LIVE VOLLEYBALL SESSIONS WITH MRS THORNTON
Commencing 3pm on Monday 30 August and then each Friday and Monday at 3pm for the rest of the term. For more information and to find the link to join, please look at the PE tab.
Parent Teacher Interviews Next Week
Tuesday 31 August 3.30pm- 7.30pm
Thursday 2 September 3.30pm - 5.00pm
These will be online and scheduled for 10 minute meets

Remote Learning
We hope the delivery of our enhanced program is providing your child with a sense of
routine, predictability, connectedness and security and easing the pressure on you as parents and carers.
For those of you who may have missed out on last week's newsletter, please see our new daily structure.
Supervising Teachers Onsite Learning
We have 3 teachers supervising the students attending onsite learning daily. When your child's teacher is at school, slides of the day's lessons will be available but there will be no meets for the day. You will know if your child's teacher is working onsite by checking in the relevant year level remote learning tab.
Foundation to Year 4
9.00am All classes will have morning roll call and a 'live' mini lesson or activity with their whole class (30-45 minutes in total)
Student attendance will be marked at this meet
The live lessons will happen every morning - 3 literacy and 2 maths for the week
Students must have their cameras on and commence the meet on mute
Teachers will remain online to assist students with any questions they have
The chat function is reserved for asking questions and sharing information
10am -12.30pm Students will be enrolled in small group instructional sessions
Students are expected to attend one literacy and one numeracy session a week.
This remains the same as current practice.
12.30pm Whole class check in
This session is an opportunity for the class to reconnect and share work, reflect on the learning, teacher providing feedback or to have a fun game. I encourage all parents to get their child/ren to attend both meets a day to enhance student connectedness.
In the afternoons teachers focus their time on correcting student work, planning future lessons and attending a range of meetings.
Student Feedback- Your teacher will provide your child with written feedback on one literacy and numeracy task each week as well as in the two whole class meets a day and in their small group sessions.
Tutor Learning Initiative TLI
Live instructional sessions will continue to take place. Students are contacted via SeeSaw or Google Classroom and a reminder is given from the classroom teacher.
Our TLI program was due to finish this month. Thank you to School Council who has approved to finance the program for the remainder of 2021.

Years 5/6
Years 5/6
Students in Grade 5 and 6 will have slightly higher expectations as we prepare them for life beyond Primary School. Therefore, their daily structure will be different to the middle and early years.
9:00 am- All students are expected to be logged on ready for their morning roll call.
9:10am- Students will begin their first ‘live’ lesson. This may be a teacher led / interactive demonstration that will last approximately 10-15 minutes. After this demonstration, students will be set independent work. They can leave the meeting, but will re-join at 10am to share their work and begin the transition to the next lesson. Teachers may select some students to work with them in a small group while others are working independently.
10:00am- Students will begin their second ‘live’ lesson for the morning. Again, this will include at 10-15 minute demonstration. Following this, students will then be set their independent work. During this time, the teacher may request students to stay online were a small group lesson will take place. All students will return to the meeting at 10:55am for a class share/reflection.
11:00am -11:30am- Recess: Student are encourage to leave the screen and have some time off.
11:30- 12:30- Students will commence their final ‘live’ lesson for the day. The structure of this lesson will be the same as the lessons earlier. (Exception for Tuesday where students have reading groups. Students will be allocated a time where they will meet with their teacher for a small group reading lesson.
12:30-3:30- Students are encouraged to complete their Specialists activities (Performing Arts, Art, Italian, PE).
Tutor Learning Initiative TLI
Students participating in the TLI program will attend all meetings held by Mrs M. These sessions will replace the lesson that is currently being held in their own classroom.

Supervising Teachers Onsite Learning
For the remainder of next week, 5/6R will continue to work in the classes they have been allocated. However, when Mrs Rizzotto returns to school, teachers will be allocated a day to work in the classroom onsite. During this day, there will be no ‘live’ lessons for the class as their teacher is at school. During this day, students will be allocated all of their Specialist classes along with some online independent activities to complete.
Whole school assembly will be held each Tuesday at 3.00pm
