5C's NEXT 'MEET THE TEACHER' PROFILES

Introducing bold, bubbly, brilliant, bright and beautiful… MISS BAINBRIDGE!

She is one of the amazing grade 4 teachers at M.P.S.! 😃

To learn more about her, 5C conducted an interview and have composed a little profile for you to read.

Miss Bainbridge describes herself as: diligent, spritely and a chatterbox.

Something that makes Miss Bainbridge smile is taking her two dogs (Ruby and Teddy) to the park.

A very fun fact about Miss Bainbridge is that she can move her nose like a bunny (🐰) and that she coaches athletics.

If Miss Bainbridge was on a deserted island she would bring a comfy onesie, a ground pepper grinder, and a carrier basket.

Her absolute favourite thing about Murrumbeena is the S.A.K.G., especially cooking, because she is developing her culinary skills. 🌱👩‍🍳🍴

Miss Bainbridge’s favourite Unit Of Inquiry has been ‘How the World Works’, in Year 4, because it has been exciting to discuss and explore different forces and Newton’s Laws.

Maths is her favourite subject to teach because she loves working with students learning new mathematics skills, particularly when they have those ‘lightbulbs’ moments and connect to learning new different topics.

Finally, when Miss Bainbridge was younger, she wanted to be an equestrian (working with and riding horses) especially in show jumping.

She realised she wanted to be a teacher because she loved sharing ideas and collaborating, and she enjoys listening to student’s perspectives and ideas.

Now that concludes Miss Bainbridge’s ‘Meet the Teacher’ profile.

Thanks for reading.

We hope you loved it! 😀😁🙂✏️

Introducing... amazing, agreeable and artistic Miss Atkins!

We are super excited to introduce you to Miss Atkins.

She came to M.P.S. at the start of 2021 and is one of our incredible Year 1 teachers!

Miss Atkins describes herself as joyful, empathetic and adventurous. She loves our school for so many reasons, but some that stand out to her are: because in the mornings, she likes to watch the sunrise from her classroom and she loves that there are great play areas for the kids.

Miss Atkins also loves that at M.P.S., all the kids say hello to her and are super polite and friendly!

If Miss Atkins was on a deserted island, she would bring a fishing net, a massive beach towel (so she can make a hammock or blanket), and a steel pot for boiling water or catching rain.

Something that makes her smile is other people laughing, even if she doesn’t know why.

Her favourite subject to teach is reading, because she learns new things every time she reads and she loves imitating characters with different voices.

In university, Miss Atkins wanted to become a psychologist but when she realised she loved learning about human development and how children learn, she changed her course and became a teacher.

When she was younger, she wanted to be a dolphin trainer or an architect.

A fun fact about Miss Atkins is that when she was younger she was a surf lifesaver and she has jumped out of a plane.

Miss Atkins favourite quote is, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”.

We definitely think she lives by this quote, too! Thank you SO much, Miss Atkins, for allowing us to profile you!

We hope you enjoyed another 'Meet the Teacher' profile! ✏️
