Year 7 Ecosystems

The Year 7 students managed to produce their ‘Ecosystem in a bottle’ assessment just before lockdown. The ecosystem involves plants (both in water and out), a fish, worms, soil (containing lots of nutrients and bacteria) and of course gas exchange. Thankfully these are self-sustaining ecosystems and will be viable during lockdown.

Year 12 Chemistry

Students recently competed in the state Titration Competition run by the RACI. The results were submitted and will be judged in October. Successful students will enter the national competition. St Joseph’s has a strong history of success in this competition.
