Textiles Students Support Echuca Regional Health

Last Saturday Ruby Morley, Rose Byrne and Eve Hatfield spent their morning at The Echuca Farmers Market, selling products that a team of students have been making over the last few months to raise funds for the New Cancer and Wellness Centre at Echuca Regional Health.

A huge thanks to anyone who has donated tins and to those that came and supported the stall.

In particular we would like to give special thanks to:

  • Dale Ryan for organising the tent and table,
  • Shauna Delaney for her generous donation of heat packs,
  • Clint Jurey for the stands to display our products,
  • Julie Pearson for providing afternoon teas for our student helpers; and
  • Kellie Bingham for packing up and most importantly counting the cash at the end of the day!

The students raised an amazing $1198.10, taking our current tally to $1948.10!!

The girls were all amazing ambassadors for Our College. They were surprised by the generosity of the Community. As the day progressed, their confidence grew and it was beautiful to watch.

We have already been asked to attend the next market, so if anyone has any tins and sauce bottles to donate that would be greatly appreciated.
