Visual Arts

Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students have been very busy at home painting, drawing, cutting and gluing a huge variety of artworks to submit online. It is good to see all the wonderful work flowing in and then effort being put into creating these masterpieces.

Prep’s have been learning about re-purposing paper to create collages and shape totems. They have also been learning about the colour wheel, the 3 primary colours, 3 secondary colours and comparing warm and cool colours.

In Year 1, students have been creating art using natural objects. They have been spending some time out in the garden gathering materials to create nature mandalas and nature creatures. Students have also been getting their hands dirty with finger painting and re-purposing paper to create koalas.

In Year 2, the favourite activity was creating and drawing their own imaginary creature followed by their Mopoke Collage. Both artworks involved creating textured or layered backgrounds for their creature and Mopoke with some spectacular results.

Dads did not miss out on Father’s day with special Father’s day art activities to be made.

Have a look at these wonderful and varied works of Art and a big thank you to the parents behind the scenes finding materials, keeping students motivated and keeping track of the work.

You are all awesome.
