Lion King Film Review

Mufasa and Baby Simba
Mufasa and Baby Simba

Come dance with all the animals in the Pridelands, as we embark on a journey with a young cub and his friends.

The lion king is an amazing movie while its full of adventure, it is also filled with a brilliant plot. With different turns and twists it is a must see for old people to young.

Simba is a young cub who is the next king, but his uncle does not like that. His uncle tells Simba to run away, from what he has caused to the Pridelands. While walking he finds two animals who help him forget his past. He is then met by a mandrill who teaches him a lesson, that “The past can hurt, but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it” Simba then forges a plan to become king once again.

The beautiful animation and popping colors are what sets the mood in the lion king, whether if it is Exciting or gloomy. An example of this is when Scar was king, the Pridelands were depressing and sad from the colors that were in that scene. It was very effective because Scar taken almost every animal in the Pridelands, making it look like the elephant graveyard (where the hyenas live).  The music was uplifting when Simba was running home as it was a significant part of the movie, as he was going to fight for the crown.

The lion king teaches us to forgive and forget, it also teaches us about friendship and other themes too. Forgiveness is when Simba goes to the elephant graveyard, Mufasa was very disappointed from the act but forgave him afterwards. The friendship with all the animals made e.g. Timon, Pumba and Nala. They all taught him a valuable lesson and changed his point of view on how he viewed life. Simba needed to belong somewhere when Nala found him he said he belonged there, and that Pride rock was not his home anymore. He then finds out that his father lives inside of him and does not feel guilty and goes back home to his kingdom.

I am going to recommend it to young ages as they would have more fun, seeing a little lion frolic around with his friends. I also recommend it to people who adore adventure movies and those who love happy endings. I personally love the film as I give it a 9/10 and I hope you love the film as much as me.

The Lion King is a pretty good film about animals that live at pride rock.

In the movie the Lion King Simba the heir of his father Mufasa. Simba’s born and he will be king but Scar the brother of Mufasa doesn’t want Simba to be king. That Scar does something wrong that someone doesn’t survive the stampede. Simba runs away because he thinks he did something wrong. Does Simba go back to pride rock?

Mufasa looks a lot lighter than Scar because Scar has the bad side and Mufasa is the good person in the film. Simba looks like Mufasa and looks better than Scar because he looks a lot healthier and has a brighter personality.

When Scar comes in the camera its all dark because he’s the bad guy in the film. But Mufasa comes in the camera it looks brighter, happier and positive because Mufasa has the good personality and he’s king he also help the other animals.

The music changes when Simba comes in and saves his mother Sarabi.

The sound was sad but it turned into a heroic sound when Simba helps Sarabi. It makes me feel moody sad, happy, better, deep ,comfortable. I would personally recommend you watch this film if you like to feel different ways.

In the Lion King It tells kids to be responsible in a movie of bravery. Bravery between Mufasa and Simba is the main thing, but something very sad happens nearly in the middle of the movie. Simba also does happen to run into some new friends there pretty funny and they felt like Simba could be there friend. But at the start it was a nice start for Simba he looks kind he protects the other animals. Comparing Scar and Simba they look nothing alike. Scar looks unhealthy, While on the other hand Simba looks nice, healthy and everything you can imagine in a nice person. Simba challenges someone to save his family because Rafiki remined him of who he is and that he is brave.

I would recommend this film to kids that are 7 or older. Kids that are younger than 7 might get upset because there are some sad parts that happen in the film and there are happy parts as well. I think adults should watch this because it’s a family movie.

I personally would rate this 7/10.

 Diaries of a Year 7 Student…

My Iso Experience by Biftu 7E

Remote learning has been interesting, I don’t personally enjoy being stuck at home all the time I enjoy socializing with others and actually seeing which really isn’t realistic in our circumstances, other than that I have been able to spend more time with my family members at home we occasionally go on walks together and have found that we might be moving houses soon which is always exciting, I just kind of miss my friends and being able to go out with people. I hope everything goes back to normal soon!

Thank you to our brave Year 7 students for their contributions, well done.
