Book Week 2018

·         What a big week it has been at OLA Library!!

·         We had a fantastic response to all the activities that were organized for Book Week. The purpose of Book Week is to expose children to a wide range of literature and nurture a love of books and reading.

·         There was an amazing collection of characters for our Book Week Dress up Parade. Staff and students certainly showed their creativity by producing colourful and interesting costumes to depict their favourite book characters. Thank you everyone for getting into the spirit of the occasion.

·         The production ‘Treasure Hunt’ was based on the Book Week theme ‘Find Your  Treasure’. The show was a fantastic mix of storytelling, songs, simple props and costumes.  ‘Treasure Hunt’ really entertained the children and held their attention for the entire time.

·         Many thanks to City of Stirling for providing Better Beginning packs for our Kindy classes. Year 5 students attended a very interesting and informative ‘Meet the Author’ session  at Dianella Library.

·         Students have enjoyed participating in ‘Find your Treasure Hunt’ throughout the school. All students who have found a treasure will be in the draw to win a major prize. The winners will be drawn on Friday at Assembly.

·         Thank you to Mrs Rosie Samuels for organizing the special Book Week menu. The students certainly enjoyed buying and more importantly eating these delicious treats.

·         The success of these activities during Book Week would not have been possible without the great support and enthusiasm of our students, parents and staff.

·         Well done, everyone.
