The Principal's Pen

As Term 3 draws to a close we have been reflecting on what this term has held. After what was a very simple Term 2 due to COVID-19 restrictions and related caution, this term has been very full! Even working within the current restrictions, we have been able to undertake excursions and visiting speakers and specialists as well as inviting our parents and guests to some larger events. Last Friday was a particular highlight and I enjoyed being able to speak to the combined Primary group at the beginning of the Athletics Carnival and reminding them about treasure!

The treasure that I referred to came from 1 Corinthians, where Paul is talking about how we run the race and getting a crown for it! Looking out for each other and encouraging one another are behaviours that are always on display at our Athletics Carnivals and I explained to our students that it’s an example of what Paul is talking about. It’s also part of what Jesus meant when he said, “Love God and love your neighbour”. A great reminder for all of us.

I pray that there is a good rest for our families these holidays and we return to continue the race of 2020 to its conclusion, together.
