BE INVOLVED, BE CONNECTED

The library is getting ready for Book Week coming up in October with the shortlisted Children’s Book Council of Australia books due to arrive any day. All things going well they will be catalogued and covered ready for use in the classes the first day back next term.

Book Week is always a fun time with loads of activities and competitions - including one from our friends at the Port Phillip Library Service. They have invited our students to take part in their My Bookmark competition. It is open for ages 5-13, there are ten $50 Eckersley's art vouchers to be won, along with the chance of having the winning work turned into a limited release library bookmark.

Winners will be announced in time for Book Week (October 17th – 23rd), so get your entries in soon!

All the details can be found here along with the template:

Finally, it will be very exciting to have students return to school to explore our new books, sit on our new library lounge chairs and snuggle into our new bright orange bean bags. The library is looking so good but it is too quiet without the kids! Who would have thought a librarian would complain about the silence of a library?!
