F-4 Community News

Foundation

The students have been really missing their buddies. This week they made cards for them and wrote a special message inside.

Years 1 and 2

The 1/2s have been exploring narrative stories. We have been breaking up the story into three parts; beginning, middle and end. The classes have learnt to put the characters and setting in the beginning. To have a problem in the middle and to solve the problem at the end. We will be writing our own short narrative stories to show our learning over the next few weeks.

This picture is of some students from 1/2PC. The students listened to the story Fireflies by Julie Brinckloe, writing each part of the story on sticky notes. They then made a flip book putting the story into three parts.

Years 3 and 4

Maths

Students have been learning about fractions this week. Mrs. Dickens' maths group practised finding one-half and one-quarter of a group.

Smiles

Students in 3/4 have enjoyed being back at school to spend time with their friends.

Religious Education

As part of our Term 4 Religious Education Unit 'Community of Believers', the 3/4 students have been looking at how the Church celebrates the life of Jesus. Students have enjoyed creating dioramas of the key events of Jesus' life.
