Changes in our Parish

Change is something that we are very familiar with at St Augustine’s and with the Bishop’s announcement of clergy appointments it brings with it the news of a new chapter in our journey, starting from the end of October.

We pray for and pass on our best wishes to Fr Jinjo, wishing him all the very best on his new adventure and thank him for everything he has done for our Parish over the past 3 1⁄2 years, and we welcome Fr John Paul Pasala (Tatura) with the assistance of Fr Michael Morley.

Bishop Shane's Message to Year 12s

Bishop Shane has a video message for all the Year 12s of 2020 in our Diocese.

To those that have already finished up for the year, to those who sat down to complete the GAT this week, to those who are completing VCAL, to those at our Catholic Schools and those at any of the schools or other educational settings within the Diocese, to each and every one of you, this message is for you!

We ask all in our Parish to pray for our Year 12s as they enter into term 4, exams, final assessments, goodbyes and new beginnings!

Discerning the Way to the Plenary Council

During the next few weeks, we are invited as a diocese to reflect upon how, as people of faith, we can discern together how we are ‘being called to be a Christ centred Church.’ When we discern, we think deeply and prayerfully in order to hear God’s voice.

Cathy Jenkins has recorded a video on Discerning the way to the Plenary Council that you are invited to watch as we enter this next phase in the journey. This video is available through our newly created YouTube Channel and Facebook Page.

Access to Our Parish Bulletin

To help parishioners who may not have access to our online bulletin, hard copies will now be made available.

Printed copies of the weekly bulletin can be collected from the front porch of the presbytery.

We continue to provide our weekly bulletin as we adjust to the impact of COVID-19 on our lives.

With none of the usual activities of Parish life at the moment, much that is contained in our bulletin is online links to other sites. We hope that these links will provide you with ways to celebrate your faith, find prayers and reflections, as well as activities to sustain you.

Fr Jinjo will continue to pray for our sick, our recently deceased and for anniversaries. If you would like a name included on the bulletin, please email to Kyabram@cdos.org.au.

Our peace and blessings to you all.
