Communication Working Party

The Education and Policy Sub-Committee has commenced work on a key initiative outlined in the 2020 Annual Implementation Plan. The aim is to review, consolidate and streamline our communication channels to reduce the current confusion and overload of different systems being used.  The communications sub-committee has (virtually) met twice to begin the task of assessing and refining the communications platforms used by the school. 

The group will be considering how well used the different platforms are, and which are better at reaching different audiences. 

The challenges of COVID have highlighted some of the benefits and difficulties of each of the tools already used. However, the sub-committee is looking further ahead to how SKiPPS can improve communication with students, families and the community for the long term. 

Thanks to those parents and teachers who have joined the Communication Working Party and have all so generously given up their time during a very busy period in the term. The working party will establish a scope and sequence of the work to be completed and aim to have further parent involvement through surveys and forums conducted in 2021.

Sub-committees

Our school has a number of permanent working groups called sub-committees. These groups are made up of staff members and dedicated parents who meet ten times a year with a focus to make our school a better place.

Sub-committees are open for anyone to join and rely on the energy, ideas and hard work of parents to improve the school experience for all of our students.

With COVID-19 restrictions, all meetings are currently held via Zoom so why not join one of our upcoming meetings to find out more and get involved?
