Bigger than the 'G'??
Over the holidays we installed new Goal Posts on the front oval as well as re-sizing it. Did you know that our front oval was 11m longer than the MCG? This was too big for our junior students so we took the opportunity of re-sizing the ground to approximately 160m long and installing new AFL standard, aluminum goal posts that are safer and more durable than the old posts. A past student, former 1st XVIII football player and current 1st Rowing coach Pat Hawkes, suggested that we paint the goal posts in the Ballarat High School colours, so that’s what we did and they have come up a treat! Thanks to Warren Gosby for his professional installation job.
