School Council Report

FROM THE PRESIDENT

Hello, my name is Serren Schindler and I am your School Council president for 2016.

I have been a member of the Murrumbeena Primary School Council for a number of years and have served on the Education & Communication,  Facilities and Out of School Hours subcommittees in previous years.

My professional background is in education and my husband Derek and I have two sons, Harry (year 8) and Jack (grade 2). Currently I am busy helping with administration tasks related to the family business, along with various voluntary and family commitments.

During 2016 I look forward to working in a collaborative manner with a dedicated and enthusiastic team on the Murrumbeena School Council.

APRIL SCHOOL COUNCIL REPORT

At the April 18 meeting, we thanked School Council members who took part in School Council training on 8 March, which was provided by the Department of Education and Training. Members of the Coatesville Primary School Council were also present and all those who attended found it an interesting and informative evening.

Also at the April meeting, the School Council endorsed both the School Strategic Plan 2016-2019 and the Annual Implementation Plan 2016.

Both of these plans have been approved at the regional level and will guide the direction of our school's development over the next four years. School Council also approved the Annual Report 2015.

The updated canteen menu was also discussed, as well as future arrangements for our school uniform shop.
