EXHIBITION AT COLLINGWOOD COLLEGE

Reggio Primary Art, Bus Projects and Creative Arts Victoria presented an exhibition of interactive works by artist Lee Shang Lun who is a game maker. Primary and Secondary school students as well as the wider school community had the opportunity to interact and play with different games. It was nice to see the front office area transform into a mini gallery. Thank you to all who work in the office spaces for being so patient with the noise.

YEAR 9 & 10 BOYS SOCCER

On Wednesday, 18th April the Year 9 and 10 Boys Soccer team went to John Fawkner College to play against other schools in the annual division competition.

The students that represented Collingwood College should be very proud of themselves, as they not only played well, they were also excellent ambassadors for our school in the fairness and endeavour they showed on the field as well as the way they conducted themselves off the field.

The team was:

Mohamud Cabdule (captain), Tuji Abdurahman Mohamed, Mohamed Awil, Clancy Day, Alok Giri, Phuoc Nguyen Tho, Mazin Mohamed-Bakhit, Nuho Mussa, Riley O’Halloran, Farhan Olad, Mohamed Omer, Blake Poynting, Hudaifa Wali and Mo Wali.

The team played three matches and won all three.

Results were:

Game One:

Collingwood 2 vs John Fawkner College 1 (Mohamud Cabdule 2 goals)

Game Two:

Collingwood 3 vs Coburg High School 1 (Mohamud Cabdule 2 goals, Farhan Olad 1 goal)

Game Three:

Collingwood 8 vs Australian International Academy 1 (Mohamud Cabdule 4 goals, Mazin Mohamed-Bakhit 1 goal, Mohamed Omer 1 goal, Mohamed Awil 1 goal, Nuho Mussa 1 goal)

Mohamud Cabdule was one of the best players scoring a total of 8 goals for the day and Clancy Day was commanding as goal-keeper, making some exceptional saves. Every player though, did their bit, and the group played well as a team.

I am very proud of all the boys and their effort.
