Coming up:  crochet and knitted flowers for Mother's Day posies and hair adornment.

Irmhild is a School Health Consultant and practitioner working with healthy childhood development and preventative health strategies.  She has had thirty years of experience in private practice, tutoring and mentoring health professionals who wish to pursue a vocation in Anthroposophic healing. Irmhild teaches both nationally and internationally. She currently works from the Melbourne Therapy Centre and teaches adult education at the Melbourne Rudolf  Steiner Seminar. Irmhild brings her knowledge and deep insight to share with those who are open hearted and willing to explore the profound mysteries of healing and the destiny of the human being.

LET'S READ TRAINING

Let’s Read is a national, evidence-based early literacy initiative that promotes reading with children aged 0 – 5 years. 

The training will provide you with up-to-date knowledge around literacy promotion, Let’s Read program knowledge and resources (book packs) to encourage families to read with their children from an early age.

 

You can play a fundamental role in the success of Let’s Read in Yarra as your skills and knowledge mean that you are well-placed to deliver important messages about early literacy to families in our community, and can do so in a way that is truly engaging and supportive to families.

 

When:   Wednesday 7th June 2017

Time:    9:30am-1:30pm (light lunch included)

We have also created separate day tickets for those who can only join us for the day. Please note that people planning to attend the Sunday festivities must participate in both workshops as they are rehearsals for our closing evening concert.

The Autumn Sing Sessions are on holidays!

The Autumn Sing Sessions are taking a brief hiatus for the school holiday/Easter period, recommencing on the 23rd of April. Put a note in the diaries and we hope to see you at the next one!

If you know of anyone who may be interested in attending we would really appreciate if you could spread the word and the love to ensure this is our biggest festival to date. Perhaps a neighboUr has expressed in interest in singing Bob Dylan or a one has started rockin' out to the radio?! - anyone and everyone is most welcome at Vocal Ranges.

PERCUSSION - SOUNDS UNHEARD SCHOOL HOLIDAY INTENSIVE

Applications are now open for the 2017 Sounds Unheard School Holiday Intensive. From July 3-7, twelve exceptional secondary music students will work with Speak Percussion, internationally renowned composer Liza Lim and emerging composer Jeanette Little on the development of two new pieces, exploring the roles of performer, composer, producer and director. 

 

Applications for this free program are invited from instrumentalists, composers and electronic artists. The program will run from 10am-4pm daily at Temperance Hall (199 Napier St, South Melbourne).

REGGIO EMILIA EXHIBITION

A travelling exhibition showcasing the Reggio Emilia approach to education through photography, paintings, drawings, words and photography has opened at the Guardian Early Learning Group’s new Pedagogical Exchange in Richmond, Victoria.

The Hundred Languages of Childrenexhibition, which has been travelling the world for 35 years, documents the capabilities of children as seen through the pedagogical journey of the infant toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy and is described as a visual testament to children’s potential as scientists, inventors, authors and artists.
