BYOD Program
The BYOD Program at the school has gone from strength to strength since its introduction at the start of the year. Over 80% of our students in Years 7 & 8 have their own device. The school has specially trained staff who are working with the teachers to explore the use of technology in deepening student learning and improving learning outcomes. There is a genuine excitement from students in finding new ways of researching an idea/topic and sharing that knowledge with others.
Several staff have just returned from an EDUTECH Conference which is the largest Technology conference in the southern hemisphere and they have brought back with them many exciting new ideas that our students will benefit from.
If you haven’t purchased a device for your child as yet please make it a priority as the school expectation is that all students will have a digital device to support their work. The skills that students learn from using the devices are vital for their ability to work and be successful in the future.
If there are reasons why you cannot purchase a device at this time please advise the school by contacting Mr Ian Crocker/Mr Louis Turner on 9366-2555.
We want all students to have a device so that they can participate in this bright new future.
And finally….
We hope the 2 week break is an enjoyable one for all our school community members. Please be safe and we look forward to returning to school on Monday 13 July and beginning another productive and rewarding school term.
