Parent Portal News

The parent portal will be upgraded shortly. We hope to be able to commence payments for Fees and Excursions electronically soon after this.

As you would be aware, there are assessment results for some subjects already available on the portal. We are awaiting an up grade to the teacher side of the system in order for all staff to be able to do this. Further information to follow. In the meantime, all progress reports, available on the portal, have an assessment grade included.

For the first time, Semester 1 reports will no longer be printed and mailed home. They will be available online through the portal. Please ensure you are able to log in to be able to view the reports. An SMS will be sent home when the reports have been added to the portal, which will be during the last week of term.

If you need assistance to login, or have lost your login details, please contact the General Office on 9366 2555.

A Great Partnership

For the past 15 months St Albans Secondary College has been an active member of the Brimbank Proactive Police Unit. This coalition of the Brimbank Police and local Primary and Secondary schools meets monthly to discuss ways of supporting our communities and keeping our students safe. The police provide free cyber-safety talks for schools, free security checks for school premises and up to date advice on how we can keep our students and members of the wider community safe from crime.

At our most recent meeting the police highlighted that theft of personal belongings from cars is at a very high rate at the moment. It is a common and serious crime and we urge our community members to practice some simple things to protect themselves and their belongings:

  • Never leave your car unlocked no matter how long you think you will be away from your vehicle.
  • Do not leave personal belongings in clear view of someone looking in the window.
  • Don’t leave mobile phones or other digital devices on car seats when the car is unoccupied.
  • Place items in the boot of the car in preference to inside the cabin.

For community members wanting to keep up with services provided by the Victoria Police, from missing persons to installation of security screws on number plates (Safe Plate Days), please log on to the internet address below.

The school values our association with the Brimbank Proactive Police Unit and believes that they have made a positive impact on the school providing a safe and supportive environment for staff, students and our broader school community.
