Fundies for the Future

Social Ventures Australia

On Tuesday 3 September, Shalom Tiatia and James Mangali of Year 11 travelled to Sydney to take part in the Fundies of the Future competition, organized by Social Ventures Australia.

The competition involved Shalom and James, together with Akegma Arok preparing a detailed financial analysis of JB Hifi Limited, in only 48 hours.

They then travelled to Sydney where they pitched their analysis and recommendation to some of the most experienced fund managers in the country.

St Albans Secondary College was competing against four other schools from around the country.  Shalom and James pitched a 'Sell' recommendation and in an amazing performance, they won.

The students are grateful to the support of Social Ventures Australia, Hearts and Minds Investments and UBS.
