Mathematics Game Day

Mathematics

On Monday 2 September, I took 4 students from my Year 7 mathematics class to the Mathematics Games day held at Overnewton College in Taylors Lakes.

The students had the opportunity to develop their mathematical talents and thinking skills in a setting where maths is regarded as fun and worthwhile.

Working in teams of 4, students competed against 30 schools for a variety of prizes including individual prizes for creativity when creating origami, contribution to group work when problem solving and also lateral thinking for games of strategy.

Congratulations to Wilfrid Oo, Janahan Sinnathurai, Stephanie Tran and Kelly Lam for representing the school in such a great manner. St Albans definitely made the top 10. Great job team!
