Congratulations Les Gyori

Congratulations to our Guitar teacher, Les Gyori, on his recent show, "Life as Sounds" at the Melbourne Recital Centre on Saturday, 20th August , following his sold out performance last year of his "Enigma" concert. We are very lucky to have such a talented composer and musician working at MGC.

Dance News

Well done to the junior Dance students who attended the all-day workshop intensive at Elevator Dance Studios in South Yarra on the 29th and 30th August.

The girls participated in four workshops with industry professionals in a range of styles including Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Commercial Hip Hop. The girls focused on developing their technique as well as their choreographic and performance skills. All students put in an exceptional amount of focus, energy and persistence in each class and should be congratulated on their efforts.

2016 is Melbourne Girls’ College’s third year participating in the AUSACA School Division. In both 2014 and 2015 we progressed through to the Championship Final. Last year we were crowned VIC State Champion as well as receiving three Special Awards at the VIC State Finals.

Produced by Vocal Australia (Australia’s Contemporary A Cappella Hub), the main feature of GET VOCAL Festival will be AUSACA Australian A Cappella Awards where we will see the best adult, university and school a cappella groups from around the country battle it out to be crowned the Australian A Cappella Champion!

Come along and support our MGC A Cappella choir battle it out to progress through to the state championships and hopefully be crowned State champion for the second time!
