CULTURAL DIVERSITY WEEK
Our school's international students are from a very diverse background. They are from 12 different countries and speak 11 different languages. To celebrate Cultural Diversity Week, our international kids organised an activity called Learning Greetings in Other Languages during the lunch break on Thursday March 17 in our school library.
During the short period of time, Chaney, Tramy, Lara, Catalina, Minh, Jasmine, Beam, Om, Lena, Chaney and Jong taught students how to say THANK YOU, HELLO, GOOD MORNING in Mandarin, Cantonese, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, German, Thai and Korean. It was great to see that the students from the teaching and learning sides were both so enthusiastic in this activity. They learnt a lot as I heard the next day quite a few Y10 students were greeting each other using languages other than English. I believe they also learned that no matter what culture background we are from and no matter what language we speak, we need to show respect to others, which is key to a multicultural harmony society.

SPRING FAIR 2016 UPDATE
This year we are having both morning and evening Spring Fair meetings each month. In this way we hope that all families feel they have the opportunity to contribute ideas. More people being involved means the workload of bringing our amazing Spring Fair into being is shared.
