Around the College

College Captain Report

This year, the role of College Captains has enabled us to serve the Endeavour community whilst allowing us to grow as young adults. It has been a pleasure to have this opportunity. It has not only been a blessing, but a gift that just keeps giving.

This role in captaincy has been a team effort. We have worked closely with both Michael and Kayla, coming together as a team and accomplishing what was seemingly impossible. At the beginning of the year, we were nervous and hesitant as to how we could put our ideas into action and make a positive difference in the school. However, from the moment we first shared about our faith at assembly, we have grown immensely in confidence and our passion to serve has fueled this action and creativity.

This year we aimed to strengthen the community at Endeavour and in particular highlight the College spirit amongst students. We achieved this mainly through creating engaging assemblies, proposing new ideas and working with younger students. In doing this, we involved our fellow peers in decision making and encouraging them to become more involved. This immense contribution has definitely emphasised the spirit of Endeavour and built a greater sense of community and gratitude.

In building this spirit and school pride, Endeavour’s Got Talent was a highlight of the year for us. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the show and encouraging the audience to support the talent amongst the students. It was wonderful to see the school come together as a community.

Although our time at Endeavour is coming to an end, we are excited for the future of the school and for the new leadership structure in place next year. It was a privilege to work with Ms Ward in planning and proposing this new leadership scheme.  We encourage next year’s leaders to approach this opportunity with enthusiasm and positivity.

Representing the school and its core values has been an honour and an unforgettable experience which has left us with skills to last a lifetime. We hope that we have made a positive impact on the school and further brought together the community that Endeavour thrives on.

Thank you.

Charlotte Knudsen, Year 9 has been awarded the Australian Scout Medallion, the highest award in Scouting section. This involves demonstrating leadership through planning, teaching and reporting in many activities over several years. We would like to congratulate Charlotte on this achievement.

SRC Report

On Friday 21 September, The SRC organised the ever-popular Endeavour’s Got Talent. Students from all year levels were invited to participate and display their talents to the entire school. In total, there were nine acts for all students to enjoy.

Honourable mentions should be given to Shatha Jamal and Christie Bond; both musical acts that the judges scored highly. This year, we had two winners. Ethan Schuster created surprisingly realistic car noises using just a bucket and Chelsea and Payton Hampel performed a choreographed rhythmic gymnastics routine. Congratulations should be extended to all the participants as they demonstrated immense courage whilst showcasing their unique talents.
