P.A.R.T.Y. Program
On Wednesday 26 September, a group of Year 11 students had the privilege of being involved in the P.A.R.T.Y Program. This was a full day spent at the Lyell McEwin hospital travelling the path of trauma patients. We spent the day listening to specialised nurses, doctors, a paramedic, occupational therapist and a trauma patient. We had the opportunity to be interactive with the doll patients, complete CPR, wear goggles to show the effects of different drugs and feel what it is like to be a trauma patient. The day exposed us to the result of one bad decision, teaching us how to be safe and avoid life changing accidents. A confronting yet enjoyable day, I believe each of us took valuable information from the day and can share with others to spread further awareness.

Love + Information
“We need love without information”
In early August, the Year 11 and 12 Senior Drama class, embarked on a group journey which was the creation of our Senior Production which was Love + Information. Upon receiving the first drafted scripts, creative excitement buzzed through the classroom about the upcoming challenge that awaited us.
Love + Information poses the question ‘How do you define connection in an era of constant, and instant communication?’ An adaptation by Mr Richards, of British playwright Caryl Churchill’s original script, painted a portrait of the fundamental human needs which are love and the means in which information is extracted from the world around us. With immersive projection design, an electric soundtrack and an exhilaratingly fast pace, the production was a theatrical kaleidoscope with over 60 scenes and over 100 characters. The show explored a wide variety of themes from deception and connection, to grief and resentment. This production holds a mirror to its audience and poses questions about identity, communication and whether you as an individual can achieve a full feeling of love without all the excess information that comes with it.
The production posed a big challenge to the ensemble cast of Year 11 and 12 students. The source material contained no direction and very few suggestions in regards to how many characters occupy each scene. This created a challenge for many of us, as it encouraged independent thinking and allowed for us to work on our ability to develop characters more effectively. Additionally, the publicity of the production was entrusted to the students, with a trailer, and a creatively designed Instagram page to advertise the product. Following six weeks of weekend and after-school rehearsals, the doors opened at 7.00pm on September 13 and 14. The hard work and extra commitment had proven to be worth it, as the production received plenty of positive feedback from parents and students for its intriguing themes and creative presentation. Love + Information was a labour of love for the class and Mr Richards, and it was an incredible opportunity to take part in such a production.

Endeavour’s Excellent Entrepreneurs
Our Stage 1 Business and Enterprise class impressed the Endeavour Community with their entrepreneurial skills in Week 10 of last term, trading over three consecutive lunch times. Their dedication and commitment were outstanding as they used the facilities at the College to provide a variety of products for their peers. Students are assessed in this practical task for their business planning, operation, marketing and service. Enterprise Week is an exhausting but very worthwhile and engaging learning opportunity for the students. This activity promotes inclusivity, risk taking and develops their collaborative skills. The students involved are listed below. To demonstrate the social responsibility of business and ethics, students donated half of their profits ($375) to the Ba Ria Orphanage in Vietnam. With the money raised, the orphanage will be able to purchase some much-needed supplies to help the children in their care. The Year 11 Business and Enterprise students excelled in all areas, showed initiative in problem-solving, took risks and embraced all challenges that came their way. We are extremely grateful for the support of parents and the entire Endeavour community for this event.

I learnt that working as a business is not as easy as it appears, and that there is a lot of preparation and effort needed to make it work. It was stressful at times but was an overall enjoyable experience. Michaela
I learnt more about how to prepare and conduct business, I enjoyed when I carefully prepared goods that were liked by others. I felt honoured and proud about what we achieved. Jessie
Throughout this process I learnt that it may feel like a competition but at the end of the day we are developing business skills. Kayla
Our prime objective was to concoct a salubrious bijou dish, combining eccentric flavours true to the authentic Italian ethos. Customers exhibited maximum satisfaction, and we acquired pivotal skills in entrepreneurial conduct. The Beef Bandits, Luke, Lucas and Lachlan
Enterprise week allowed each business to fully grasp the understanding and challenges of running their own business. I am privileged to have been a part of this opportunity and enjoyed applying business skills and applications into reality. Milica
