From the Management Team

At the opening assembly this term I shared the beautiful words of Jeremiah to the students.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Jeremiah 29:11

As we embark on our final term in this 20 year celebration I found myself seeking out the words of our founding Council Chair, Michael Krause as well as founding Principal Michael Leske as they reflected on the hopes they had at the beginning of the Endeavour College journey.

Michael Leske spoke passionately about, “the hopes the community had for a form of education that was not just learning in the head but learning in the heart.  We hoped that students would get along, for a happy community, for laughter, for successes and that the community would help each other when in pain.”

The vision for the College was extremely strong with a community focus and a great deal of hope for a bright future for the College. It was this sense of hope that helped the school through its early years; ones that had their fair share of challenges from all accounts. Michael Krause spoke of, “God’s plan for the Endeavour community" and he noted how without this hope we wouldn’t have stepped out that first day and taken this journey.”

Twenty years on I am certain our founding staff members would be proud of the College and that their hopes for the type of school they had imagined are indeed still a reality - that the core values of community, student’s understanding their own potential as well as students reaching out and helping others - still ring true.

As Heather Vogt continues her study leave, researching other schools around the world and delving into the future of education, we hope and pray for her safe return as well as her guidance and leadership in helping our school community continue to prosper well into the future. As we embark on a significant building project next year to extend the Senior Years section of the campus as well as reimage Senior Schooling, our hopes are with the current community as we assimilate new educational thinking with the principles on which the school was built.
