You Can Do It

Getting Along

This term we are focussing on the foundation of Getting Along.  If we are going to get along with other people we need to stop and think before we do something mean or naughty to people who annoy us.  When we stop and think it gives us time to come up with a way of solving our problem in a good way.

At school we want to teach children how to stop themselves from making mistakes, for example, hitting someone who is annoying them.  In this situation we would encourage children to stop and think first about the consequences and come up with a creative way to solve their problem.  Talk to your child about how they could solve a problem like this.
