NEW SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS FROM MILDURA OR MURRAY PLAINS DISTRICTS 2022 

The generous, Sisson Family Scholarship was gifted by Edith and Andrew Sisson and offers one student from Mildura or the Murray Plains Districts a total scholarship of $97,000. Open to students wishing to study areas of Medicine, Dentistry, Health and Welfare; Sciences and Mathematics.

 

Benefits: 

  • Full accommodation allowance for a standard bedroom at Little Hall.
  • Living allowance of $4,000 per year, paid in half-yearly instalments for three years.
  • One off travel allowance of $4,000 towards overseas study as part of your undergraduate degree. 

Eligibility:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Reside in, and completing Year 12 at a government school in, the Mildura and Murray Plains Districts in Victoria.
  • Intend to apply for the Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science under Access Melbourne via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12.

Application dates: May 3 to August 31, 2021.

 

Shortlisted and unsuccessful candidates will be notified by the end of September.

 

The final scholarship offer will be made in December after the release of ATAR results. 

RURAL AND REGIONAL ENTERPRISE SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM

The government’s, Rural and Regional Enterprise Scholarships Program supports eligible students with the cost of studying at university or at a vocational education and training institution. Scholarships are valued at up to $18,000 each and are available to support students studying for six months full-time or up to eight years part-time, on campus or through online and distance education. An additional $500 is available to support an internship.
