HAPPY HOLIDAYS 💚 THE GREEN TEAM

Before you hit the road these holidays don't forget to check the pressure on your car tyres. Underinflated tyres lead to increased fuel consumption and hence more greenhouse gas emissions from your vehicle. Regularly checking your tyres will help keep your fuel costs down, and lessen your impact on the environment.

During the holidays it will be NAIDOC Week from Sunday 4 July to Sunday 11 July.

Each year NAIDOC week provides an opportunity for us to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing cultures on the planet.

The NAIDOC 2021 theme – Heal Country – calls for all of us to seek greater protections for our lands, waters, sacred sites and cultural heritage from destruction.

While you go exploring these holidays, perhaps research what country you are on (for example, the school is on Bunurong country) and chat about the sustainable practices you could do as a family to help protect and Heal our beautiful country.
