Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome back to Term 3.
What a week it has been! I enjoyed a wonderful time with staff and students at Log Cabin Camp in Creswick earlier in the week and now we have returned to remote learning. I know that our wonderful school community will rise to this challenge and continue to work together to support our children. Remote learning is never our preferred model of learning however we know that you are all doing your best and that is all we can do in the current circumstances.
All students will be learning from home from 16th – 20th July except for students where both parents work or carers of authorised workers who cannot work from home, work for an essential provider and where no other supervision arrangements can be made. Please remember that if your child attends onsite, staff will be providing supervision only.
If you are a current family at our school and have a child who is turning 5 by April 30th next year, can you please complete an enrolment form and forward it to the office as soon as possible. Thank you for your assistance with this.
We welcome Natalie Ferron back to our community after maternity leave. Natalie is working in JLA 1 Monday to Wednesday for the remainder of this year.
Many school events are currently on hold or have been postponed until further notice including:
- Sacraments and whole school masses
- Camps or excursions
- Inter-school Sport
We thank parents and students for their support and understanding regarding this, remembering that we continue to work together to keep everyone in our community safe so that our school may remain open.
A friendly reminder that all fees and levies need to be paid by 31st October 2021 unless you are direct debiting. It is very important that all school fees are paid in full and on time to enable the school to meet its financial obligations. Please do not hesitate to contact Marisa or myself if you would like to discuss your account or wish to set up a direct debit payment plan.
It is so important that all parents keep up to date with what is happening at the school. Please ensure that you read our school newsletter and all notices sent via our Skoolbag app.
Just a reminder that if your child is going to be absent from school, you must submit the Absentee eForm via Skoolbag or leave a message with the office. If your child is absent from school and you have not informed us, your child will be marked as Unexplained and you will receive an SMS notification about this.
All students are expected to be in their full winter uniforms at the beginning of Term 3. Please note that students are expected to wear our school beanie, scarf and jackets if cold.
If your financial circumstances have changed due to COVID-19 and you now have a Health Care Card, please fill in the attached CSEF application form and email it to the school on email@example.com

If you have already submitted a CSEF form for 2021, you do not need to resubmit this form.
Again l offer my thanks to all our families for the amazing work you continue to do supporting their children with remote learning. Together - we will get through this! Keep safe and take care of yourself and your family and friends.
May St Joseph the Worker bless you and watch over you and your family at this time.
We ask you to guide and watch over us through our journey at St Joseph the Worker.
Let us Make Jesus Real by working together each and every day.
Help us to make our school a safe and happy environment for all teachers, parents and students.
Let us keep the ill and less fortunate in our hearts and hope that they find love, strength and protection.
St Joseph the Worker, Pray for Us.
