Around Trinity

Please use the Crossings

Can all families please be mindful of traffic safety around the school zone in peak times.

It is incredibly busy at the start and end of the school day and we do not want to see anyone injured.

We are witnessing students crossing Pound Road in the bus zone and to the west of there at peak times, which creates a real safety issue.

Any student being dropped off along Pound Road on the south side should go up to the school crossing for safety and to set an example for the younger students in the area.

Students are also reminded that if you are walking to school from the east or the south to use the crossings provided and stay away from the congested roads, particularly in the area of the roundabout on Hart Street.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Uniform Reminder

All students should be wearing correct school uniform at all times.

Winter uniform stock is available from our Uniform Shop, which is open on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Winter Appeal

We are once again collecting for the Vinnies Winter Appeal. Each year level has buckets outside their YLC's office and we would welcome items from the suggestions below because there are families in our community in need of some warmth this winter. Please go through your cupboards and donate what you can. Thank you.

Refugee Week

Next Week is Refugee Week and as a College we acknowledge this significant time in the year.

We will be celebrating the week with a series of activities early in Term 3.

Food Bank Volunteers

As you may be aware at times throughout the year, some families of our school are in need of help for one reason or another.  One way our school helps these families is offering a meal or two.

We are calling on families who may be able to assist in preparing a meal for a family in need.  If you could help that would be fantastic.

Listed below are some suggestion to make it easier for us all.  The idea is the family can reheat something easy to put on the table quickly.  Mostly it’s to ensure the children of the family are getting something good to eat.

Suggestions: Soup, Sausage Rolls, Quiche, Spaghetti Bolognese, Chicken Pasta, Casserole, Pasta Bake, Stir-fry, Chow Mein, Fried Rice.

You can also make anything else you would like as long as the meal can be reheated.  If you have time you may also like to make a cake, slice or biscuits to send along with your meal pack.  Foil trays and disposable containers are the best way to pack your prepared meal.

If you think you may be able to assist when needed please email cgrist@tcc.vic.edu.au
