Students Return - Wednesday 28/07/2021

Dear Families & Carers,

At last we are returning to school!

I would like to express my gratitude to all families for supporting us during this latest lockdown. We really appreciate your support and lets hope we can move once again to on-site for the remainder of the term and hopefully the year.

The purpose of this newsletter is to highlight any new or re-introduced conditions that will be in place for two weeks or longer.

Please read the information provided and please comply with the restrictions and guidelines.

  • Consistent with advice for the broader community, school staff and secondary school students aged 12 or older, a face mask must be worn at school, unless an exception applies:
  • in all outdoor spaces when 1.5m physical distance cannot be maintained
  • Visitors and parents must also observe this guidance.

Drop Off & Pick -Up

Parents are advised that at drop-off and pick up times, parents can accompany their child/ren to the designated area. Please ensure that you wear a mask and QR code check in.

Parents are not to enter classrooms. These arrangements will continue until further notice.

  • F/1's to be dropped off and pick up to on the basketball court. Children will be accompanied by their teacher.
  • 2/3 to be dropped off and collected from the quadrangle area.
  • 4-6's to gather on the asphalt area outside of the blue sports shed.

Parents are requested to leave the grounds once the children are under the supervision of the teachers in the designated areas.

We are not encouraging parents to gather inside the school grounds before or after school. Staff will be reminding parents to leave the grounds immediately.

EXCURSIONS

Currently we are advising parents that the athletics carnival will not go ahead as schedule.

But if we are advised it can go ahead we will notify parents via Sentral tomorrow afternoon.

Foundation/Year 1 Excursion has been cancelled. If we reschedule then the F/1 Team will provide notification to families.

Assembly for this week has been canceled until further notice

We hope to re-introduce weekly assemblies as of next week. At this stage we will provide on-line, and until advised by DET parents will not attend in person.

Reminders

Please keep phone calls to school to a minimum. We advise parents to check Sentral for any updates. We will post any relevant updates on Sentral and the newsletter.

The newsletter in its usual form will be suspended until further notice. If and when we need to communicate further information around Covid restrictions we will publish these in the newsletters similar to this and also broadcast notifications through Sentral.

Once again thank you for supporting your children and our school staff during this past fortnight. We look forward to seeing our students back at school tomorrow with their friends and teachers. School opening at the standard time of 9.00am.

Please stay safe and look after each other.
