Principal's News

Dear Parents and Friends,

We are marching very quickly toward the end of the year. The children are still busy learning with a some time taken up with assessment needed by the teachers to write reports.

Again this semester, due to the amount of time the students undertook in remote learning, the Government guidelines have instructed a modified report be given to parents. You will receive a written report on the 30th November. This semester we are required to report progress on English, Maths and Religious Education and provide a Score. We will also report on Mandarin, Art, Music, Science and Physical Education but no score will allocated but teachers will make a comment on what has been achieved over the past 12 months.

Further to this, Parent Teacher Chats will be conducted via Zoom as parents are still not permitted in the school. This will be offered on the 1st December in the morning and 3rd December in the afternoon.

See attached letter for more details.

To book an appointment with your child's teacher this will need to be done on  PTO.

See the attached letter as well as instructions for using PTO below.

Grant

Many may remember that last year we applied for a grant to do a large renovation to the school. Unfortunately we were not successful. Next year we we look again at our options to undertake our Master Plan

Lunch Orders 2021

Also from 2021 the school will engage Classroom Cuisine to fill our children's lunch orders. All lunch orders will be ordered online and delivered to school. They offer a wide range of healthy options. We will provide more details next year.

New Preps

Our new preps of 2021are continuing to settle into their new environment. This week we also welcomed our new families to our wonderful community as they undertook an information sesssion. There was much excitement as well as trepidation in the room as lots of parents send their 1st child to Trinity. Meanwhile the preps of 2021 had a wonderful time undertaking a "Bear Hunt" throughout the school.

School Sports

We are presently organising school sports for Friday 27th November during the school day. Thanks to Rachel McLeary and our House Captains who will organise and run the day. Unfortunately due to Covid restriction Parents will not be permitted to attend.

Book Fair

Hello Trinity School Community,

Tomorrow, Friday, our Book Fair is starting. How exciting!

It will be open during Lunch and Snack time and will finish next Wednesday.

We will give out another Wishlist so if your child would have found a book they like they can write the details down and show it to you (as due to the current circumstances we unfortunately can't invite you, parents and carers this year)

We always appreciate your support in this wonderful event and each dollar spent will help the school to receive and choose more wonderful books for our library.

Thank you very much in advance and

we can 't wait.

Barbara Shaw

Regards to everyone
