L’ Angolo Italiano…

VIVA LE VERDURE- Grade1&2

Beautiful Grade1&2s are exploring IL CIBO SANO/ the healthy food, during these weeks.

Through craft activities, oral repetition, drawing and labelling, students have learnt the new language to describe LE VERDURE/ vegetables in Italian. All students love at least one VERDURA, which is fantastic! Check out the amazing work done this week! Bravissimi!!

GIOCHIAMO A CALCIO- Grade5&6s

This Term, Grade5&6 students will examine some ICONE ITALIANE as part of their curriculum focus for Italian. The first ICONA we looked at is IL CALCIO/soccer and students learnt the structure and the rules of the game, using Italian language.

To effectively implement the topic knowledge, students had a two weeks soccer training, practising IL CONTROLLO DELLA PALLA/ ball control and CALCIO D'ANGOLO/ corner kick, among other soccer tricks. Next week, we will give it a go and have an actual PARTITA/match! A big GRAZIE to Mrs. Thornton for supplying the soccer equipment!
