Multicultural Youth Support Services

a secular not-for-profit initiative, funded by DET Victoria
a free activity and homework club for school students from African communities
caters for Prep to Year 12, with tailored content for different age groups
online from 4.30 to 6.00 pm every Wed and Thu, including school holidays
accessible using any device, with excellent tech support to help students connect
runs on G Suite for Not-for-Profits, using Classroom and Meets, ensuring same level of student privacy and security as G Suite for Education, supported by strong child safety policies
delivered by pre-service teacher, social work postgraduate and human services undergraduate placements, supervised by qualified teachers
balances academic content with fun activities and life skills
features positive role models from African communities inspiring students to excel
plenty of spots available
includes events and activities for parents and carers.
