  • The Bike racks are now in use at the back of the Sec 11/12 building, great suggestion by the SRC team.
  • Students would like a parade to celebrate NAIDOC week. Colin is waiting on DET guidelines to move forward with this but we hope to have a Reconciliation Walk later this term
  • Students would like a Woodwork elective or lunchtime club. Colin said that the Team Leader would consider.
  • Students would like nets on the footy goals to use for soccer and wooden floors in the gym for a basketball court. Colin will look into getting nets.
  • Students would like the boat in the courtyard updated or replaced. Colin will investigate this possibility.
  • Students have suggested sound proofing the classrooms. Colin said that maybe when the Sec 7/8 area is refurbished they could look into that.
  • Students would like new iPad covers, headphones, toys in the sand pit and wireless mouse’s. Team Leader to investigate
  • Calming spaces with Nintendo Switch in them for relaxation. Colin expressed that calming spaces are being considered for next year but Nintendo’s should  stay at home.
  • Request to add some flowers to the vegie garden near the Discovery Centre. Maybe a classes could do this.
  • Students would like to acknowledge and celebrate Christmas with decorations and special events. Colin said that Leadership was working on a plan for the last week of the year and would communicate this plan once DET guidelines are updated.

Sec 7/8 Section Suggestions

  • The Gaga court has wobbly wood. Colin has asked Lloyds Building group to come back and fix that.
  • Students would like a listening to music club, walking club, some fundraising ideas were put forward and some more sports equipment was requested. Team leader to action, there will be no more fundraising this year. We are looking at improving all our clubs for next year
  • Students are very keen for lockers in Sec 7/8 section. Colin will investigate if this is possible when the refurbishment occurs.
  • Students would like more shade areas in the yard. Colin will look into this also.

Sec 9/10 Suggestions

  • Students would like some access to the Gaga Court. Colin said that individual teachers can arrange during class time for this.
  • Students would like some special activities at the end of the year. Team Leader to action.

  • Students would like updated art work around the school. Colin to speak with Vera.
  • The LGBTQI club that was suggested by Sec 11/12 was very well received. Thank you to Keely and the team for your dedication and work with this club. You should be very proud of your efforts. Designs are currently in progress for a symbol to represent inclusion and diversity.  Amazing work  that will continue at Concord into the future.
  • Students would like Excursions to be back on. We are very hopeful that DET guidelines will support this as soon as possible.
