LIBRARY NEWS

It’s great to be back at school and in our new library.  We are certainly loving our new modern space, books and furniture.  At this stage we still have many overdue books that were loaned out during Home Learning 1.0 and 2.0.  Last week, students were given a reminder note of books that were outstanding as some date back to April.  We are asking that the students have a look for these books at home and return them or just let us know if they can’t find them.  Some books have come back and have got mixed up in classrooms which we are slowly chasing down and some have even slipped through our library system. Once students have checked at home and notified us, we will then double check again on our shelves.  Thank you to parents who have emailed but at this stage we are not asking for payment as we will await the return of classroom books at the end of November for a final check.  Thank you to those students who have searched at home and found them.  We appreciate your support.

Book Week 2020

“Curious Creatures, Wild Minds”

It’s on - the pandemic can’t stop this!!

Wednesday 18th November is our Book Week celebration day.

Come dressed as a book character or as a curious creature!

Students come to school dressed as their chosen character.

They will have level parades and classes will be complete activities related to the theme or shortlisted books.

Class teachers will take photos to share with families.

Thank You

It’s not about having a super duper costume, it’s about making an effort and joining in - lots of book characters are just boys and girls - either wearing something particular or carrying a recognisable object.

Ideas - have a look…………..
